Hey, I'm Srikar and I'm here to tell you about a
great way to get your research questions answered. I know our library buildings are closed right
now but the UCLA Library is still here to help. We have remote Library Student Research Assistants
who can answer your questions about the research process. LSRA's are UCLA students just like you
who work for the library. They are experienced with the complicated process that is research.
If you have trouble finding sources for your research project, organizing your
research, citing material or anything related, LSRA's are here to help. If you're viewing the
Library's virtual tour, start by clicking the button directly beneath this video. If you are
navigating the Library website, start by clicking "Schedule a Virtual Research Consultation" in the
Library resources and "quick links" on the home page. The Virtual Research Help Desk where you'll
find our LSRA's will be the first option. Remember the UCLA Library has 11 different libraries
specializing in various academic disciplines. You can also use this page to
schedule subject-specific help but for general questions, LSRA's are the best.
To
reach an LSRA, just select the radio button for Library Student Research Assistance. In the next
section, schedule a date and time for your meeting. Next fill out your contact information as
well as an overview of your research question so we can best be prepared to help you. Check to see that you have received an email with
a Zoom link to your scheduled meeting. You will also receive a reminder email 30 minutes prior
to your scheduled meeting. Finally, attend your consultation! You don't have to have your camera on
but we're happy to see your face. Happy researching!.
